Supermodel Brooklyn Decker smiled in the clear blue waters of the Maldives and appeared on the cover of the highly anticipated 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Special Issue (www.SI.com/Swimsuit) today. Labeled “A Perfect 10″, Decker is a five-year veteran of SI Swimsuit. The cover was shot by the legendary SI photographer Walter Iooss Jr..
As a cover model, Decker joined the supermodel tradition of SI swimsuit covers, including Kathy Ireland, Cheryl Tiegs, Heidi Klum, Elle MacPherson, Tyra Banks and Petra Nemcova. Many of these covers were taken by Iooss, who added 11 SI swimsuit covers this year.
Today also marks the multi-platform debut of the SI swimwear collection in 2010. SI.com/Swimsuit includes more than 1,400 photos and 100 videos taken by the model during the shooting. These photos come from six countries: Chile, Portugal, India, Maldives, Canada, and the United States. Look for frank “non-clock” photos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage on SI.com/Swimsuit. In the 2010 cover photo, Decker’s swimsuit was made by Italian designer Delfina Swimwear; her necklace was made by Lana Jewelry and Camilla Dietz Bergeron; her ring was by Isaac Prado ; Sara Weinstock (Sara Weinstock) made a pure gold bracelet with eight diamond borders; Sydney Evan provided a beaded bracelet; and Helen Ficalora made a diamond stacking ring.
The 2009 cover model Bar Refaeliâ????, along with Julie Henderson, Esti Ginzburg, Jessica Gomes, Hilary Rhoda, Damaris Lewis, Jessica White, Cintia Dicker, Irina Shayk, Anne V, and Daniella Sarahyba?, are also familiar faces to return.
