A few days ago, Japanese designer brand Yohji Yamamoto (Yohji Yamamoto) launched a new jewelry series: Yohji Yamamoto by RIEFE.

Harui Rie draws inspiration from black-and-white movies to design a series of simple jewelry with elements of Yohji Yamamoto. The latest collection includes earrings, bracelets, rings, body chains and more, all in black. Details such as the release date and location have yet to be confirmed.
This is not the first collaboration between Harui Rie and Yohji Yamamoto. Previously, as an independent designer, Harui Rie worked for Adidas AG and Y-3 brands and participated in all the work in the accessories department.

Harui Rie was born in Osaka, Japan in 1981. While in Los Angeles, USA, he studied silverware and jewelry making with Guillaume Pajole, who worked for the Hollywood luxury brand Chrome Hearts and jeweler A&G, so he developed an interest in gemstones. Under the recommendation of Guillaume Pajole, he worked as an intern in several workshops in Paris, determined to enter the jewelry industry.
Immediately, Haruui Lie was certified as a gem appraiser by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and went to BJO Formation in Paris to study jewelry design. After returning to Japan, he worked in a jewelry brand for a period of time and left to become an independent designer, and began to cooperate with Yohji Yamamoto Company.
In 2018, Chunjing Lihui founded the jewelry brand RIEFE JEWELLERY. With the concept of “Beauty of Strength”, it intends to show the beauty of women accumulated over time through jewelry. The target customers are women over 30 years old. After the launch of the first series of RIEFE JEWELLERY, it has won the appreciation of top creatives such as photographer Koshiichi Nitta, hairdresser and stylist Kamo Kiya, and appeared in their works.
In addition to releasing a new jewelry series, in order to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Japanese bag manufacturer Yoshida&Co, Yohji Yamamoto collaborated with the latter’s brand PORTER for the first time to launch a joint bag series, with a total of four dual-use bags.
The two bags are mainly black, the representative color of PORTER and Yohji Yamamoto. The exposed zipper and the length of the strap can be freely replaced, making this series of bags both practical and design.
